CHRISTMAS 2003 |
||
My daughter Kim (Luke's mom) and her husband are moving to Albuquerque. Curtis is taking over a plumbing company there. Their house sold and they are closing on the 30th but the house they are building in NM will not be ready until the end of January. So while Curtis is there, Kim & Luke will stay with Lee and I. Curtis, got here Christmas Eve day. My daughter Traci and her husband Fritz (Liberal, KS) got here Tues. night, bringing Molly (20 lb. Boston) and Roxie (65 lb. Boxer pup). Traci is about 4 months pregnant (won't let the Dr tell her the sex of the baby) and we are all together for Christmas. Lee has sent me to the store every night for about a week. Cheapest I got out was $38 .... most expensive was $184. No beef scare here. .... Our tradition is to go to church on Christmas Eve and then the "whole" family eats together and plays games. "Whole" = R. B. HIGGS Family (Richard, Barker, Honea, Ivy, Gilleland, Griffith & Swain). By this time a lot of our food and all of my good wine is gone. Today my family opens gifts ... eats ... most went to the movies (Luke and I played with our gifts) eat some more ... play games and as I write this are watching a movie in the other room. TaTa (Traci) has the main couch (right of pregnancy) Luke has his tent set up in the middle of the room, and everyone else is scattered around..... except for Lee, who thinks we haven't noticed she has gone to bed. Tomorrow his R. B. HIGGS party at Becky's house and Jeff and I giving plane rides to anyone brave enough to go up with us. LIFE IS GOOD..........MERRY CHRISTMAS........GOD BLESS |
