It came to my attention that someone was looking for Mrs. Brown's
taffy recipe, so I want to invite all you Roby exes to purchase the new Cook
Book being sold by Roby United Methodist Church. The book is the 115th Year
Anniversary Edition and it includes many old recipes. Not only Mrs. Brown's
taffy, but cookies, cakes, pies, bread, etc. from other great cooks like Mrs.
Kiker, Mrs. Cauble, Mrs. Doyle, Mrs. Helm, Mrs. Wetsel and many more. If you

I emailed Fenton Brown yesterday because I am on a mission to find
a copy of his Mother's taffy recipe. He is going to ask his brother if he
has the recipe. Will you post the request on your web site and see if anyone
has it just in case Fenton's brother doesn't have it. No one I know seems

Where are all the people from the '80's??? I know we weren't the shy ones!!
Once again, I have missed another Homecoming. Did anything exciting happen
that I missed? I Have not been good about keeping up with my fellow classmates
from the Class of '85. I have only kept up the one person that would tell
me the Roby news -- George Price. Now he has moved up here!! Who is gonna
be my Fisher County news person now?!?!? Somebody e-mail me and let me know

For those of you that knew him. Johnny "PeeWee" Stewart died yesterday
9/26 at his service station .... working. PeeWee was one of the very special
people who will always be the best of Roby ... both yesterday and today. Weathersby's
in Rotan is handling the arrangements and there will be a graveside service
for Johnny at 11:00 AM Friday the 28th. At a later time there will be an opportunity
for you to read and contribute stories about him on this site. All of the
"Class of 64" feels a deep sense of loss and our thoughts are with his brother

Adam, I would love to put up pictures and stories about the "class
of 60". I hear it was full of fast cars and good-looking women. I will need
a little help from people who have pictures around that time. I have a good
track record of returning pictures that were mailed to me. You can always

what you have that you would like to see posted and I will help figure out

Fenton told me about this web site and I decided after reading
so many comments, and after seeing the pictures from my senior trip (I did,
at one time, have hair!!), that I would write and say hello to everybody.
I see some of you now and then, but not often. Pam and I still live in Lubbock,
and after 30 years of teaching, I have retired and taken a job as Artistic/Managing
Director of the Lubbock Community Theatre. I don't think that at 54 it is
too late for a new career. (there are 3 of us in the class still just 54--Cheryl,
